When one of my bestest friend’s husband turned 40 this year and invited me to Mexico, I was like HECK TO THE YES. I’ve never been and also, girlfriend, I NEEEEEEDED a break.
It was the first time I’ve ever been FULLY PRESENT on vacation, not worrying about my business, my baby or all the responsiblities that come with being a grownup (boooooooo, adulting sucks).
Mexico was INCREDIBLE. We stayed in a house ten feet away from the water and at any given time you could hear the waves slowly brushing against the sand. Sunrises were gold and blue and red and at night, the stars were the clearest I’ve ever seen them.
It made me realize how beautiful this world is for those of us lucky enough to slow down and notice. It also taught me that walking along a beach with three of my favorite girlfriends is the STUFF OF MAGIC; it can cure heartbreak, exhaustion, self doubt and all the things. Oh, and that laughing with your girlfriends is better medicine than anything science will EVER stumble across.
Enjoy a sneak peek into the most beautiful vacation I’ve ever taken so far in my life. Hope these images bring you a little tiny bit of the magic I experienced and I hope they encourage you all to make a little bit of time to stop and look around. And see how damn beautiful it all is.
