Watching my kid find a bestie two doors down from where we live has been the greatest joy. They have been inseparable for as long as we can remember, they don’t even remember meeting – they only know life as a duo.
They are girlhood personified. Between giggling and inside jokes, painting their nails and curling their hair, running the whole neighborhood gang of kids, these girls are living the dream. And I thought one day they’ll love these photos. So I asked them if they wanted a photoshoot after yesterday’s sleepover.
And short of snapping the photos, that’s where my contribution ends. They wore whatever they wanted from my client closet and acted like absolute goofballs. We laughed, they danced and jumped around. It was wonderful. Hanging out with them literally gives me chills, they’re the sweetest funniest sassiest girls and I feel so lucky to watch them live their best lives.
We should all be as free spirited and wild as them.
